On Sunday it was time to visit the Alex Jack Cup final, one of the many non-League trophies in Scotland. Our neighbours Whitburn Juniors won it on a very sticky pitch. Real grass pitches in December 🥰
I went to Gala Fairydean Rovers Ams. v Hawick Legion last weekend, because it was played at The Greenyards. This is the home of Melrose Rugby, but they played away so Gala could hire the pitch. First time I've seen a football match here. Lovely town as well.

I agree. So many great grounds. Sadly the new builds are mostly very boring, but grounds like Cappielow Park, Somerset Park and Palmerston Park are in my all time top 10.
I think the weather in the Highlands is normally better than in the Central Belt. Many times I left here in the rain to arrive in the sunshine there. But maybe I've been lucky. In Greenock it's the other way around. Almost always rain in your town when I'm there 🌧️
