Anytime a medication interferes with something that major, we should prioritize developing an alternative med with a better side effect profile, and be unafraid to discuss it openly with patients.

The amount of times a doctor has dismissed my concerns about a medication’s impact on libio or avoided the topic is so annoying. And once again it all goes back to how much internalize puritism society is strangled by that we can’t acknowledge the value of pleasure

The lack of urgency to find a medication option that works without draining the ability to orgasm is telling. If everything sucks, and your med is only kinda working, and it happens to stop you from enjoying sex, then *of course* it’ll be discarded.

A byproduct of healthcare being so afraid of pleasure is poor adherence to antidepressants and antipsychotics.

Step one here is being able to gather professionals in a room and say “our patients aren’t sticking to these because they can’t cum” without everyone melting into an embarrassment puddle.

I wanted to follow the aesthetic era of the 70s and 80s! I have more canisters coming though.

Four kitchen canisters made of cream plastic with brown plastic lids. They have a decal on the front of some cute veggies. Each one has a different name - Quaaludes, cocaine, edibles, and opium.

I fished these babies out of a thrift store clearance bin where they were destined for the landfill.

A good wash, a rebrand, and they’re ready for a new life!
