This project has been a true interdisciplinary adventure, spanning chemistry, structural biology, biophysics, and cell biology, and has been an incredible learning experience at a personal level. ๐ง
It's been an absolute privilege to work alongside an incredible team at TOCRIS Bio-Techne. Thanks to Hannah Maple, Graham Marsh and Joel Cresser-Brown. Their expertise and dedication have been instrumental in driving this project forward and bringing this vision to life.
The collaborative spirit at CeTPD, the deep scientific insights, and unwavering support have been instrumental in shaping this work. I'm truly grateful to be part of such an inspiring and innovative environment.
None of this would have been possible without the amazing powerhouse of expertise at the CeTPD. Particular mentions to @Conner Craigon and @mark Nakasone as part of the BromoCatch task force at CeTPD and @alessiociulli.bsky.social for the opportunity to work and contribute to this project.
The bromocatch is depicted here. Bromocatch is a small protein that can be fused to a protein of interest and use din combination with a bivalent compound for multiple applications including imaging, biotin-based assays, click conjugation or degradation.
I am delighted to finally share a story that we've been developing at the CeTPD in collaboration with TOCRIS biotechne for the last couple of years! ๐ We're thrilled to introduce BromoCatch a self-labelling tag platform for protein analysis and manipulation.๐ฌ๐งซ๐งช
