Two outstanding movies!
THIS. THIS. THIS.
I miss out on Computer Baseball, was very firmly in the Microleague Baseball niche.
Bakers dozen seems right
Amen
I havenβt laughed reading a post in a long time, but this one got me. Accurate to a tee, Mabel speaks the truth!
I'm a Washington fan, been rooting for them for over 40 years, but I also live in Detroit, and the Lions are my hometown team. I take no pleasure in seeing their passionate fans disappointed yet again.
Lions fans, this team will be back, I feel they are built for the long run. Next year, rematch!
Can't say for certain, but I feel they were looking at the careers of 19th Century players when that minimum was implemented. It seems to me that a lot of those players, especially pitchers, didn't have especially long careers and the voters from the early years of the Hall wanted them considered.
The thing I remember most about 25 years ago tonight was that I stayed home and stayed sober, awaiting a call after Midnight from work that would determine if what we had done for the previous two years went off without a hitch.
Spoiler - we did a good job in 1998-9, systems worked as intended.
I just saw that Jimmy Carter passed away this morning at age 100.
He was President when I was in High School, it's been a long time ago. And you'll not convince me that he was a good President.
Yet, he was a great human and the world is lessened today because he is no longer among us. RIP good Sir.
Deleted, reported and blocked another five this morning, including a couple who commented on this very thread. Here's a hint, if you're a Go Fund Me bot, you will be blocked and reported. If you're a real human who isn't begging me for money, which I don't have, then you are welcome here.
Is it just me or have others noticed an uptick in followers who are no more than money beggers or bim-bots? Just went through my followers list and deleted, reported and blocked at least 30 (that's where I quit counting). As an average, not notable personage here, I find this strange and amusing.
Just ask Arson Judgeβ¦
Twilight Struggle has earned its place in the pantheon of the greatest board games. It remains my all-time favorite game. TS Red Sea is also very worthy of a try, shorter play time, but no less intense and challenging. If you've yet to play either, now is a great time to try them!
Kaline made the most of his only World Series, batting .379/.400/.655 with 2 HR's and 8 RBI.
That's my Rep!
Growing up, there were two players that my friends and I looked up to, one a Right Fielder, the other a Right Winger. The Winger was Gordie Howe, and the Right Fielder would've celebrated his 90th birthday today...
Well, to be fair, Krogers and roundabouts do have an affect on folks
Good to see you over here, Clyde!
Over the last month, along with the increase in people coming over from the other site, I've seen a 79 follower bump.
For all my followers, thanks. I'm just a guy who follows board game, baseball and Star Trek content, and occasionally politics. Now you know what to expect from me here on out.
Weβre pretty lucky to have him here in Detroit
Still have my originals, bought about 42 years ago. All in good shape, still played. Glad to see a new version for those who want a fun, quick, easy to learn game.

What I find interesting is that the two previous troughs on the chart are the 104th Congress, which was the "Contract With America" congress and the 112th, when the "Tea Party" first flexed its influence. The MAGA congress may be worse, but it's a pattern.
Youβve got a good State Rep there. Since redistricting, mine is a MAGA performative clown whoβs more concerned about an Insurrectionist agenda than the people of his district. My old Rep would be onboard with what yours is doing.
As is the tradition, here's what came today from my Hollandspiele sale order... Looking forward to digging into all three!
