My thought as the PPV nears, is that AEW has set a trap for itself. It's made the case for Hangman, Swerve, Kenny, and even Mox as more interesting/exciting options than MJF too well. Now we're going to get 6 months of MJF beating them, while they tell better stories, have better matches. #AEW 🤼
Even if it was only AEW fans calling out Gail Kim for her racist and misogynistic comments about Riho, which thankfully it wasn't, that would say more about other fans than it would say about AEW fans. 🤼
The AEW Men's World Champion should be the biggest thing on every show, alongside the AEW Women's Champion. He should be #1 in terms of match presentation, #1 in terms of story presentation, and instead? Not even a 10-minute match and no story coming out of the PPV.
As nice as a one-off Moriarty match is, AEW continues to present Hangman way below what he's earned and deserves. I can't blame this solely on AEW's lack of top-of-the-card heels. He's simply being booked as less important than the AEW Men's Champ should be. Why does this keep happening? 🤼 #AEW
