I know you are the queen of socks but even so it makes sense to wait to do the grafting until you are fresh. For baby socks I started cheating and doing a star toe. :)

Pile of yarn under a little bit of knitting on top of a knitting pattern.
Wellβ¦ on the bright side I clearly like these colors since my skirt and my needles match the yarn. And I like the pattern enough to do it again. Bummer on mis-reading the pattern and having to frog it back to the start. π§Ά
A pile of 10 multicolored hats

#Fiberuary is Color Crush so here are a bunch of different colored hats. And they are mostly made out of scraps for #ScrapAlong2026
Hand knit hat that is light blue at the bottom and then brown with a blue accent at the top.
#ScrapAlong2026
I love it when two balls of yarn from different projects just match up. A hat to donate out of unknown yarn.

Two project bags. One is the ikea rainbow bag and has two shawls and two hats to donate and my notions kit. The other is a tiny Trader Joeβs bag I was gifted with a Miffy pin on it that was a gift from my youngest. That has a small pouch with a hat to donate, a MTI hat for me, and a square of what will be a patchwork blanket. Mostly no thinking knitting.
#Fiberuary today is project bags. I have literally had nightmares about being out and about and not having knitting with me. So one of these leaves the house with me every time. π§Ά
Two hand knit hats with the ends not sewn in. Beige and multicolored
#ScrapAlong2026
A pair of hats made from some gifted scrap yarn. They donβt count as completed hats until the ends get sewn in and I hate that part so they are going into the pileβ¦ π§Ά
Red hand knit melt the ice protest hat
#Fiberuary goal for today is matching. I made this MTI for my bestie and I have enough yarn left to make one for myself! π§Ά @braz.coach
Hand knit hat on the needles. One strand of plain beige yarn held with a multicolored yarn.
#Fiberuary today was cozy. And this hat is double stranded and will hopefully keep someone cozy next winter. π§Ά
Hand knit red hat with braid
#ScrapAlong2026
Another melt the ice hat done. Red yarn was hard to find and then someone gifted me a box of scraps including some red. Perfect timing.
π§Ά
Hand knit hat made of a fuzzy burnt orange yarn and some sock yarn in greens and browns and oranges. Using up some scrap yarn to make a hat to donate.
Day 46 Hat 34
#ScrapAlong2026
I have some unfinished hats that need to get to finished to get me back on track. π§Ά
Yarn changing from blues to greens and a little purple.

For today it was love. And I fell in love with Tunisian crochet at @dyemadyarns.bsky.social Suncatcher so I am doing it again with Peacocking.

I didnβt feel well today so I didnβt do any fiber arts. Highly unusual for me. I did spend a lot of time thinking about the scrap yarn challenge coming up and what to knit during the Olympics. I do like to try to finish something between opening and closing ceremonies.
#fiberuarychallenge
My mood today was just barely up for some basic hat knitting.
A green twirly scarf in progress. The kidsilk creation yarn comes as a knit tube and you pull it open as you go to make a very bizarre and yet delightful texture.
#FiberuaryChallenge
Day 1:
I knit almost every day, I recently learned Tunisian crochet, I find c2c crochet to be particularly relaxing and I hope to figure out embroidery. Quilting is just beyond me.
Day 2: someone gave me this kidsilk creation and I started it today.
π§Ά
I love this. And I kept and treasure some of the letters my friends have sent me in the mail. There is something special in seeing the handwriting and touching the same paper.
9 hand knit hats in a variety of colors and textures

Littlest kiddo helped with the sewing in of ends on 6 hats today.
Beautiful color
Even just buying the pattern helps. I have a second friend who wants me to make them one and I am happy to do so
Red hat with braided tassel.
First Melt the ICE hat done.

Mommy and her baby.. π
I am happy to send you my protest hat to keep your big bald head warm. I have this hobby covered for the both of us. Teamwork dreamwork.
Yes it is. 6 inches of ribbing and then some shaping at the top. It calls for dpn but I usually just make the circular work for the whole hat by moving the cable between the stitches
Red ribbed hand knit red hat on the needles.
Making the newly popular red hat of protest as I get ready for a snowy weekend/week. I have offered to help my friends over FaceTime if they want to make one and run into trouble. Knitting has long been a piece of protesting.

"My husband complains about the cold," the man said. "Can you teach me a spell to keep him warm?"
"I can teach you to bind hair into a net to catch heat," the wizard said, "using arcane counting and a pair of fine wands."
After a while, the man said "Isn't this knitting?"
"This, too, it's magic."
Teal hand knit baby cardigan with purples and yellow/green bits
One more baby gift. We have 6 days until his arrival. This was a kit and was cotton which was hard on my hands but it sure is cute.

Tan mouse hat with pink ears
Grey hippo hand knit baby hat
This was outside my comfort zone but the mommy to be asked me to make them and so I did.

Completed cowl in its many bright yet light rainbow colors
Close up of the gorgeous colors
I finished the @dyemadyarns.bsky.social Chubby Trevor Suncatcher cowl using Tunisian crochet. It was so delightful to make and it feels like an added bonus that I now have a beautiful cowl to wear.

But also the post code is for a small number of houses. Not like a zip code in the States.
