I like making it so the more you look on these the more you see.

Really love reading your interrpritation. Especially on such a heavy piece. I added cracking glass in the top left and bottom right corners sort of like veins or webbing. Also there is a chain on the neck of the spirit collie connecting to Trip!
Some fun details in. I enjoyed doing this for you!

A dark shadowy anthro version of Trip is huddled almost in a prone fetal position. His left arm crosses over his muzzle and clutches what could be a sheet or maybe just inky blackness to hide from the world. The left arm is tucked under his jawline and almost grips the hock of his right hind leg. The dog's eyes are a glowing slit of gold light as if closing. Rising forth from his back, as if being drawn to the heavens, is a bright colorful spirit-like feral form with a pained expression. A sharp red line is shooting through the anthro form's temples upward through the feral form's neck connecting the two. The top of the piece is more impressionist providing a light teal wavy colors giving the vague sense of drowning. This all could be interpreted various ways, but is what I see looking at it. To me, the piece reflects my struggle trying to keep afloat and happy while it feels as if I'm drowning. More specifically I would say this is a struggle I've had a lot recently, deciding how much longer I can stay with my current job. It has provided me with so much, but has drastically changed in the past 2 years. What will I do if I leave now at my age? The future is uncertain and the stress of it rips at the fabric of my being.

Earlier today I received this artistic freedom piece from @beaztvibe.bsky.social and it is spot on the emotion requested.
Sometimes it's hard to cope with everything life throws at you all at once.
Shutting down and withdrawing, it feels like your spirit is torn and distant.
