It is well worth watching.
It rather took me by surprise. It was a gentle, very well-told story, despite obvious budget constraints.
I will definitely be rewatching it at some point.

I was warned going in that this was a heavy series, and it definitely is. It tackles some very serious subjects, but in a good way, IMO. Now I understand why other watchers say they are haunted by it.
The series teaches a good lesson.

Before I left that place, the last known bite from a highly venomous danger-noodle was in a park in the capital city centre (CBD). A woman walking to the main train station at dusk when danger-noodles are known to be on the move.
I had walked through that park nearly every day for a few years.
Oh, and when I say, "in the wild", I mean in my own backyard, the local park, outside my uncle's back door (how TF it got up the stairs I'll never know), and on a boat.
Not just 'out bush'.
Grew up in a place with some of the top 10 venomous danger-noodles and had (too) many encounters in the wild. Now live in a ONE, non-venomous, hard-to-find snake area.
Still terrified of the danger-noodles. Don't like images of them either, so this drama is a challenge.
