i got a preorder! i'm enjoying the TN much more than i have enjoyed my hobonichi in a long time.. i feel a lot more free with the weekly+blank books vs the dailies 😖 i can't wait to see what you do with your card size if you share anything 👀!!

left behind.. do we have to go back to the thrift store
that's helpful! thank you!
finicky in what way? i was kinda excited seeing the platinum converter because they look so hefty compared to the con 40 and my kaweco converters that have failed on me so many times 😭
thank you! they're so beautiful and that sealed cap is a huge selling point. i haven't seen anyone compare the platinum nibs directly to sailors in regards to feedback but i am nervous bc i tend to reach for my steel nibs over my sailor pro gears
the seal is a -huge- selling point.. i'm very tempted by that and the look of the yoseka 3776 but i have no experience with platinum gold nibs
oh that's interesting! the only negative i've been seeing about the 3776 is that the plastic feels cheap but i love the way my pro gears body feel so that's encouraging! i've been fantasizing about this pen since they announced it.. i'm dying for other people to post their in hand pics 👀
the yoseka exclusive 3776 century "greenpoint" fountain pen. a pale green demonstrator fountain pen with a rhodium plated nib.
is the platinum 3776 century worth it? i've never used any platinum other than a preppy...

a two-page spread from "The Book of Whys" by Gianni Rodari. The left page shows figural illustrations of golden items: a block of cheese, ice cream, a tooth brush, wine, peas, a sneaker, a rose, a loaf of sliced bread and gummy bears. the right page reads: Why is gold so precious? In and of itself, gold is nothing more than another shiny metal. It's human labor that makes it precious. The price of gold depends on the amount of time required for its production: it takes a hundred times more work to produce a gram of gold than it does to produce a gram of iron, or a gram of bread. According to a well-known proverb, silence is golden. So says the proverb, but I beg to differ: for instance, if the teacher at school is quizzing you on geography, silence isn't even made of brass. And if you're fully in the right and it's the right time for you to express your point of view, then silence isn't even worth as much as papier-mâché and sawdust. Those in the wrong just keep on going If those in the right have nothing to say. If you stay silent, while fully knowing, Then the next one you meet, you'll have to obey.
