Oops all spells has remained tier 0 or 1 through metas with UB reanimator with grief, UB reanimator with frog, UB reanimator with troll, UB reanimator with Tamiyo, and to this day. The deck is always the most broken thing in Legacy and just avoids bans by being hard to play.
Why are we okay banning Mycospawn and killing Eldrazi because it’s miserable but Oops is suddenly a novel deck and we don’t want to risk killing it? Why are we letting UB Reanimator fester as the best deck for literally over a year consecutively? Feels like 2 completely unrelated announcements
Days like today are why it boggles my mind that people are against a Legacy format panel.
It's just so consistently clear WotC does not have the capacity to be in touch with Legacy and that's honestly fair.
It's always been a casual community run format and we should embrace that.

Congrats! I was playing a fair bit of Broodscale and my biggest point of confusion is why people are playing the gemstones in the side instead of just putting it main and sideboarding the land you're swapping for. You will be on the draw g1s being the logic.

I was in the legacy seat on Nadu breakfast. Deck felt super powerful but struggled a little vs the fair decks.
Related, I was even more impressed by my opponents UR Cori-Steel delver deck. Definitely seems like a great way to build tempo.
All he wants me to do is cast artifacts and Kozilek's Commands. I've never felt more understood.
As a longtime combo enjoyer, this actually rips.
If you played less flexible hard killcons in your storm deck you'd dead draw more often, but this couldn't happen to you.
It's just an unintended deckbuilding cost and I think modern containing lots of quirky corner cases is actually pretty cool.

Using LOTR as an example, the pushed cards felt that way.
OBM, Halfling, and the cyclers were generic. The MCs that hit were either fringe like Sam or cards you couldn't let miss like the ring.
That's clearly easier to do in modern though. I'm anxious to see if they hit that balance for standard.
