Such wonderful news. Irish rewilding projects need more attention and publicity. We need much more great work like Eoghan and a few other amazing people are doing β€οΈ
Paul Mescal was also brilliant. The children wee amazing also, particularly the boy who played Hamnet. I'm due a reread of the book. Think I will read along with Jessie Buckley's audio narration this time. #Hamnet 2/2
Saw #Hamnet this evening. Sobbed. Jessie Buckley was wonderful. I knew when I saw her in I'd Do Anything all those years ago that she was a star in the making. She was brilliant as Marian in The Woman in White as well. Could she be the first ever Irish Best Actress Oscar winner? Hope so! 1/2
A woman with brown hair and wearing a yellow coat and a colourful knit hat holds a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog in her arms. There is a tree and blue sky behind them.
Elsie and I would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas, if you celebrate, and a happy and healthy end of year and start to 2026 to all β€οΈ

@samblakebooks.bsky.social is an amazing writer and mentor to aspiring writers. She is so generous with her time and advice. This is a terrible thing to have happen. Sending love, Sam! Hope this is resolved quickly β€οΈ

If you're using AI to write essays, eulogies, a text to your wife, I do think less of you as a person. Ceding your mental and creative abilities to a machine is an embarrassing thing and people should be ashamed to admit doing it in public.

"The National Development Plan announced by the government this week has allocated nothing to nature, instead taking 3.15 billion euro from the Climate +Nature Fund for infrastructure."
Ireland disgracing itself on nature *yet again*. This is NOT what people want, but we keep getting the same. Why?

My friend recently alerted me to a shocking case of a neglected dog. The Kildare Animal Foundation has been trying to help a dog that's severely emaciated, but was returned by the GardaΓ to its owners. Posts are on Facebook. Please donate and help if you can. Thank you.

Is it a good thing or a bad thing if you make yourself cry with your own writing? #5amWritersClub #Writing
Agree. Farmers are so well positioned to be at the forefront of rewilding. It makes so much sense.

Oh, heaven forbid! They're going to need to get their act together, like, yesterday, to be an effective opposition. A combination of centrists and progressives is what's needed. And, yes, David Hogg had exactly the right idea. Drain the swamp, for real. Really be the party of change and progress.
Not American, but I think any combination of those three would be great. I'm impressed by all of them.
I was! 11 now π

1. My mam is the wisest person I know, and I love talking things out with her.
2. I've achieved my writing goals for June and looking forward to achieving more in July.
3. I am working on my mindset and it's really opening up new paths for me.

Thank you π I'd heard of doing something to physically track progress, rather than using an app. I tried this ages ago, but it didn't stick. Now I have a better mindset, so it's going to work. And as for why the stones, I just think they're pretty, and I look forward to getting a new one every day.
A glass jar and a linen bag on a windowsill. The jar has 10 coloured stones in it. Many more can be seen in the bag. The stones are in shades of pink, yellow, green, brown, and white.
For every morning I get up early to write, the jar gets a pretty stone from the bag. 10 so far. I have lots more stones in that bag, though. I'm gonna empty it! βοΈπβ€οΈ #Writing #5amWritersClub
