The Mix Tacoma is a short walk from the theater; it's a queer bar that has karaoke every night at 9pm. On Tuesday afternoons from 2-7pm they also host a community crafting event. There's also Mule Tavern, not in walking distance, which has trivia on Mondays and drag bingo on Tuesdays

OKAY now that disastercule weekend is over I have room in my brain for this! If you see this and you plan to attend, share here if you'll be in Tacoma on the afternoon/evening of Monday 3/9! It could be fun to set up a pirate socializing event.

Haha no not rude, just wanted to clarify that something like this could be set up anywhere providing you can find enough people

Check out the Sounder! Between that and the Tacoma link you can get right to it. You'd need to catch the 6:30 train out of King Street station I think. And taking a Lyft just to the station is a lot cheaper than all the way to Tacoma!

I mean this is just a private screening set up by pooling money together to rent a theater on a weekday morning 😅

Up to you but all are welcome! I think every single ofmd person I know started as someone attending an event alone 💚

Adding a bit of clarification: this isn't an Official Event in any capacity, I'm just some guy coordinating a private screening for the sake of fandom and community and hanging out 💚

Weekday mornings are the times when you can book an entire theater for a reasonable price 😅 especially for nearly 9 hours of screen time

Morning boost!

The Grand Cinema is an independent movie theater located in downtown Tacoma and convenient to transit. It's within walking distance of several hotels, one gay bar, several unofficial gay bars, a bunch of good food (including tacos), and karaoke!

Tacoma is about an hour south of Seattle.
