It's very pretty, but suuuuuper wet and heavy so trees and limbs are snapping all over the place. I've been out multiple times to knock out off of my trees and shrubs.

It's still snowing. So much, all day.
I want to eat the whole pile
I've already knocked the wet snow down twice.
At least the rosemary is bendy.
I guess we get a snow day in March
I'm not buying more seeds. You're buying more seeds.
The dopamine hit is just so good.
Starting to move things into the new nursery and I love seeing all the bulbs growing!
Good riddance. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Maybe take all your free-riding, uber-rich buddies who've threatened to leave with you.
This is such a hard dynamic to navigate! My heart goes out to you
I've never tried full bulb onions because getting the daylight & long enough season felt not worth the space. But, I've got a ton of chives, green onions, scallions, & baby leeks. I direct sow & start inside late winter every year to get a staggered crop.
oh noooo
We're still dropping into the 30s most nights, but hovering just above freezing. I've got this 1st transition cold frame tucked into the corner of the covered front entry so it gets shelter & residual heat from the house.
Brassicas and alliums doing well in the sheltered cold frame and got a ton of tomato seeds started
omg it keeps getting cuter
Omg were getting ready for foundations!
Native to a pretty wide range in the arid SW North America, I'm going to try growing these in containers with loose cactus "soil" so they don't get too soggy in the PNW.

De-lawning the PNW bit by bit!
Another client consult went well and I'm gonna get rip out their side yard to install a cottage garden style borders filled with native plants and pollinator favorites surrounding a central eating/ gathering area!
Willow loves my outdoor work pants.
Cats are weird
Planned on prepping my first raised bed for snap peas.
Skimmed news over lunch.
Went back out & also scatted the entire contents of a few packets each of carrots, green onions, lettuces/Asian greens.
Who needs proper spacing when you need every square inch of garden joy to combat rage & sorrow.
that is so much coffee. Even in my law school days I limited myself to filling a 30oz thermos with tea to drink on my long commute.
Had a great meeting with Rotary & the boy scout troop leader. 3 confirmed Eagle Scouts will take on building portions of the Community Learning Garden this spring & summer, with more to come for phase 2!
Next up, meeting a couple local artists to include installations throughout the space.
Hooray!!! I've been approved for the 2 farmer's markets I applied for this spring!
Here's hoping the locals want to buy lots of native plants and perennial and PNW maritime heirloom crops!!!
At least I remembered to regularly clean and run the file down the blades to keep them from sticking
Yeah, pointer finger is definitely done after 2 major pruning days.
Today was spent taming massively overgrown hydrangeas, pruning roses, and starting to reshape a fig tree.
Full day of handwork and I'm thinking I need a brace and to add more hand strength training to my schedule.
Ooo I didn't know about another one on the peninsula
Even as a not-car person I can tell it's very shiny.
If you ever want an epic eastern WA tour on ice age floods, geology, and Columbian mammoths he's your guy.
