I’m Chris, a Minneapolis based Author/Illustrator. I like bright, bold colors and abstract shapes…also tangents…love me some tangents.
Really honored that TOUCH THE SKY was the inaugural choice for Akron Carnegie Public Library's new permanent Storywalk at Pike Park. @cpark.bsky.social @carolhinz.bsky.social @lernerbooks.bsky.social

Familiarize yourself with recognizing fake A.I. imagery…you will need this skill when you are older and 99% of what you see online is not real…💥📣

I dabbled in animation a while back and realized I don’t have the patience for it. Wish I had your skills.
😊 Thanks Mara

Cover of JEONG IS JEONG written by Jessica Yoon, illustrated by Michelle Lee. A young Korean American girl smiles and raises her arms looking up at images of her family and folk art of a tiger and magpie coming out of a book
It’s a ✨COVER REVEAL✨ for Jeong Is Jeong, releasing 2/3/26 from @randomhousekids.bsky.social Pre-order link in bio!
“What is Jeong?” a little girl asks her grandma, and so begins a lyrical journey of discovery, kindness, and understanding in this ode to Korean American language and culture.
My reaction to having a bunch of new people follow/like/repost my account is to immediately distrust it all and block accounts I suspect are stealing my work to feed the A.I. beast…fucking hate A.I.

Jesus…I love that he is so passionate to defend others, but what a nightmare thinking our boys could be killing and/or dying in a civil war.
A promo post featuring the cover of the picture book TOUCH THE SKY along with its two characters, Vern and Gretchen. Gretchen is drawn in colorful colored pencils and is running happily. Vern is also drawn in colorful colored pencils and is happily leaping onto a swing. They are looking down at the cover of Bank Street College of Education Best Children's Books of the Year 2025 Edition for books published in 2024. The cover is a colorful checkerboard. The book is flanked by hand drawn gold stars and a script written THANK YOU in a blue starburst.
I am so grateful for this honor -- TOUCH THE SKY is the first book I've written to make it into the Bank Street College of Education annual collection.
Canva-created image post shows a review from Publishers Weekly for ZOMBIE AND BRAIN ARE FRIENDS. Review text in a pink box reads:" Lucianovic peppers her variation on the “Can I keep it?” genre with sly humor—Zeb attempts to lure Brian back home by crinkling “the Zombie Times’s toughest crosswords”—while Cham’s depictions of offbeat locavore culture are sweetly ghoulish." Next to the cover of the picture book is the text "In Stores September 2nd."
Thank you for this amazing review, @publisherswkly.bsky.social!

Fitting for today’s cat fight.
I feel embarrassed as I could have literally spent 5 minutes googling that but never did. Thank you Steph, I’ll try it out.
Again, thanks for reminding me that there isn’t one silver bullet answer to protect our work but probably a multi-pronged defense is best. I hate that I’m lazy, cause this seems harder, but nothing motivates me like wanting to tell bullies to go F themselves.
I mean, I love this cause it’s truth. There’s good and bad about the decision to leave. I appreciate your honesty and not just giving me a happy-go-lucky answer.
Thanks Stephanie. Your words, both in story and life give me hope.

A Minneapolis community surrounded ICE agents, telling them to “get the fuck out”.
In the thread’s videos, you can see ICE detain someone and shove people around.
Great work, Minneapolis ✊. Now, @governorwalz.mn.gov what are you going to do about this?
