Haven't these people suffered enough?
But answering your initial question, form implementation always makes me nervous. I recently made one and had to battle a bit between a11y and security stuff, because some of the startegies used (like duplicate inputs to fool spam bots) would conflict with a11y good practices.
There was also the issue with the popover attribute availability across most browsers - that article was written in 2024. As of 2025 it became newly available.
Property, sorry. Popover property.
I found that navigating the page using only the keyboard was pretty easy and focus works well. Just not sure the popover element is semantically adequate and would actually like to discuss that detail, ahah.
Anyway, here's the demo: www.joana.cc/sandbox/css-...
A friend and I did an experiment on this while trying to make a dropdown menu without using JS. A lot of people were talking about using a checkbox input but those have big a11y issues, so we came up with an alternative using the popover and it seems to work well!
La muse.
Pen brush sketches of a black and white cat (her name is Miyagi) in 3 different positions.
Morning sketches using a Pentel GFKP brush pen.
Back in May 31, 2015 I took a series of pics of Miya rolling around the floor. There are more poses, so now I wanna turn this into a full pattern :D
Opah... Foda-se. Estou em lΓ‘grimas.

Joana's sketch book pages with several black ink illustrations: ravens in different positions, a raven skull and a pair of shoes.
Really loving this spread I did yesterday.
A friend of mine calls it "adult peekaboo".
Thinking once again about this "hack" women were sharing a few years ago (a long thread on Twitter), about using a made up male-assistant to deal with email communications.
Here's an article about that, from 2021.

Finally updated my portfolio with the little comic I made for a collaborative zine with 9 other fellow illustrators also named Joana :)
It's called Good Omens and it's about a ladybird that landed on my hand, pooped and immediately flew away.
The little prick.

A Festivus for the rest of us!
They are definitely on my concerts wishlist! :D
They are pretty great! I was hooked on the Street Worms album a few years ago.
I'm an illustrator (and developer) and I might help!
The human's description!!!
Awesome work :)
I'm so excited, I'm feeling a bit like the Star Wars Kid.
Holy shit.
Someone *actually read my cover letter* and replied accordingly!
Is this... is this what hOpE feels like?!
We're meeting next week.
Wish me luck!
My favourite part is when they ask you for a cover letter or to say why YoU'rE tHe peRfEct fiT but then just send you an automated email and don't even tell you why you're not good enough. π
Oh! I never used Webflow but seen it in quite a lot of job postings. I should definitely check it out!
Well, I'm a sucker for classic theme building π¬ but even with a block theme, if you power it with something like ACF you can get pretty good results and a cleaner backoffice.
I hate how slow it is to load a post on the backoffice... (in my defense, my experience is with websites built by others.)
