I put off playing Returnal for years as I really didn't think it was my thing. It's not, I absolutely am not enjoying myself but I cannot stop playing it.
Having a grand time with Dragon Age Veilguard, boy oh boy do they know how to do a lovely vista
Had a real good-ass time with Star Wars Outlaws, absolutely impeccable vibes. The environment art and soundtrack deserve all the praise they probably won't get due to the weird discourse surrounding the game.
Great characters who are well-defined, brilliantly acted and animated though. What few locations exist are lovely to be in, big fan of vibes in games these days and the atmosphere from the first series is still there.
Timed dialogue choices that actually only appear at the start of the game and never come up again, tastes of new story mechanics (focusing on the photo) that are only used once and Max's power that, while being really interesting at first, doesn't get used in new and exciting ways through the game
Lots of plot holes, jarring scene transitions and the whole game has something like... 9 locations in total? Two of which are just single rooms really. Really want to see more from Max's LiS world but literally MORE.
That's Life Is Strange: Double Exposure wrapped up. Loved the development of Max and spending time in that twee little angsty universe, but the game really feels like a lot of content was cut or the original scope of the intended story couldn't be told.
Get that beast sliced open and report back, this is important
One person sending positive feedback to the screenshots in my last post means there's a strong possibility this could become a dumping ground for some bang average material from me
Appreciate it! It's more like playing with your toys than having a photographic eye, might share more in the future but never found a photo mode that works in quite the same way
Anyway, surprised it managed to find it's way into my all time top 10, absolute magic
Taken on PS5 so none of that fancy PC mod support, just the tools intended with the game
Manipulating scripted scenes with posable characters, constantly pausing looking for the right animation frame ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
I never really found motivation to put these anywhere but when playing Cyberpunk 2077 I got particularly obsessed with the flexibility of the photo mode
