Always seemed to me that in Warhammer Fantasy Chaos was a metaphor for nuclear weapons / power: a destructive force people tried to harness that left wastelands and mutations. It couldn’t be controlled.

Just on a simple experiential level there is nothing similar between the boredom watching some mash up of various IPs fight each other and the sheer joy of dancing in a furious pit with 50 crusties in a warehouse…
