I'll have to look it up! But yes, sci-fi has the potential to be a kind of mythology. Ever see Reign of Fire? Kind of a fun movie, in which society has collapsed because of dragons (!). In it, the adults are entertaining the children by acting out Star Wars--it's the culture they have left
