Trying my best not to spiral. I’ve been trying to put energy into reading and studying Spanish instead of doom scrolling. Trying to gain some skills that might be useful.

I got rid of my social media apps except for Bluesky, Reddit and Discord. It feels really good honestly. I’m spending the time I’d usually scroll to learn Spanish and read books.

Remember, y’all: We are only sharing MLK quotes today that make people uncomfortable. Palatable Martin is retired until at least 2029.

It felt good to march today, but there’s also a sense of darkness and dread that I know a lot of us are feeling. I’m going to continue doing what I can to resist. I hope we can all keep morale up, in order to fight.

I love how supportive LA is. If there’s one thing we do well, it’s mutual aid/activism. That fire messed with the wrong city.

I’m reading it for a book club, so it was kind of chosen for me 😭

I think just having an external commitment to read something is good to get me reading again, though! Even if it’s not the perfect book for that 😅
