I have created a diorama of the Partridge family attacking the Brady Bunch family. My life is very boring.

Now they own a plot of land they'll never be able to afford to build on, that is decades, if ever, away from having the demand for a new school, and is not worth what they paid. That physical plant money could have gone to existing facilities.

Chasing new property taxes from a development pattern that does not pay it's own way for services is stupid on it's face. Rather than pursue policies that would make the district stronger as the state abandons education they've tied themselves even more desperately to state money.

As a government the school district needed to care more about reinvesting and maintaining infrastructure, and recognize how their spending drives private development. Prioritizing existing sites, either for new or remodeled facilities is and was the only option.

The latest bond referendum was actually pretty good, and basically what should have gone to voters in 2020/2021. The loss of goodwill from previous poor plans is why this decent one failed. The CR school board has no good options for the future because they never had a reasonable vision for one.

Fundamentally CR schools failed to invest properly in facilities when times we're good, and then got hoodwinked by a charlatan to pursue a school facilities strategy that has deeply damaged the community for generations. This land is irrelevant.
