for local peeps it's still showing in robinsons movieworld so pls do catch it it's rare we get mid-budget anime films in the country so my tots aside this is defo worth supporting
got to catch this last night (thank you medialink!) and while i think that it feels a bit too lightweight for its high concept that it seems rlly excited to go into, it still features a lot of wild sequences wrapped in life-affirming hack and slash goodness
i don't mean to ruin ur dreams but this one's lowk funny

Seeing Winning Ticket doing any face expression that isnt smilling or crying feels so fucking wrong
Your not Winning Ticket, reveal your true form uma-faker

"what does dantsu even do" yeah what does the character who says she has nothing going for her and severely doubts her own potential to win and constantly loses to her friends who she sees as more talented, yet she runs anyway, she says she wants to anyway, she wants to win, what does she do
also now that ive watched boane its kind of fucking crazy to me that people even go "yeah man dantsu i forgot she was in that movie". did you? fucking watch the tokyo derby race????
Post style fanart of Umineko, with the Ushiromiya family underneath the painting of Beatrice. Yes it's also a redraw of the Knives Out movie poster hehe.

Hello, Trainer. It's Symboli Rudolf.
The thing that it takes a while to realize about Street Fighter specifically is that an example of an easy combo is HK > HP > 214214P, 2MK, HK > HP > 214HP, HK > HP > 236MK, 236HP > 236MK > 22HP and an example of an insanely hard combo that takes 10x the time to learn is 6HK > (slight delay) 236HP
have yall heard the nerissa ravencroft cover of birdbrain yet. its really good youtu.be/XdNd0IwiGEo
tl;dr: ayabe's a kind person with issues in wanting to carry the weight all by herself and the game does justice in exploring facets of that, she's the goat
on a lighter note the yuri here is actually crazy lol everyone get ayatop now y'all are missing out on some insane stuff lowk
and to be able to fulfill a stabilizing self-actualization, no matter what many small steps it takes
it's not easy at all, and it will take a while, but inch by inch, you'll get there, and the fact you're attempting to do so means a certain hope and determination to find a long-lost genuineness
and the true ending, where she attempts to write to herself and her sister in a way of accepting her self-personhood is such a perfect way to conclude: in the end ayabe's story is one of accepting yourself, to allow happiness in your life and competition/companionship with your friends
there's so much downtime allowed for just ayabe to mull over her own mental health in the middle of the big emotional moments (GOD THAT BEACH SCENE), and i'll be blunt, seeing these in-game truly haunted me because I've probably said a decent chunk of these to myself more than few times in the past
and on that cast: god i'm so happy topro got implemented this early into the game pre-playable status bc she really puts this whole story full circle, her devotion and care for ayabe being the one that pulls the latter out of the brink despite her having her own adjacent complexes
ayabe picking up the pieces of herself, finding out that she never really had a 'self' to connect with all this time, and trying to discover what that is, is one of the most poignant directions any ikusei i've seen take (though it does help this one has a complete cast with her main genmates)
in her head that even she couldn't capture the ramifications of her increasing passion until her self-deprecation kicks back up: it all hits so good
but it's that back end of her ikusei that just sent it home for me and just straight up made me tear up in the school library where everyone looked
