Really hope at least some people learn from this experience that despite opportunistic rhetoric about peace, fascism does in fact mean war.
We used to get more mind vacations and be able to choose when to work and engage with what’s going on.
I have to fill up my gas tank again, and it reminds me how terrible and irresponsible a person Trump is.

His whole life, Trump has always had someone else around to bail him out of the messes he creates: his father, Allen Weisselberg, the "adults in the room" in his first term. Now all those protectors are gone and he is openly begging for someone to save him from his own folly.

If the Strait stays closed, a global recession will result. It actually may already be too late. Gas prices are the first to spike, but food prices are next.

Breaking: the DOGE deposition videos have been taken off YouTube. On Friday the government asked a judge to intervene, said the videos could cause reputational damage, death threats. Judge agreed, ordered them removed: www.404media.co/doge-deposit...
This is, to put it mildly, a double standard. This guy was part of a government that encouraged online social media figures to engage in routine harassment of government employees to the point that many were fired or went into hiding. Some of it was done by Elon Musk, this guy's boss.
It's hard to get people to understand that loads of conservatives thought Ronald Reagan was going to transform America very quickly into the hellhole of their dreams, and when he only did the destruction he did versus the total destruction they wanted, they were very bitter at being let down.

The “paleo-conservatives” behind Buchanan had emerged frustrated from 12 years of GOP rule, convinced that controlling the executive was insufficient. Politics, they believed, was ultimately downstream from culture. So the Right needed to wage and win the “culture war.”
Immediately after the end of the Cold War, ethno-nationalist forces inside the Republican Party believed their time had come to stage a revolt against the GOP establishment. Uniting behind Pat Buchanan as their standard bearer, they challenged incumbent President George H. W. Bush.
