I was in a 2 hour briefing today on the Iran War. All the briefings are closed, because Trump can't defend this war in public.

I obviously can't disclose classified info, but you deserve to know how incoherent and incomplete these war plans are.

1/ Here's what I can share:

Imagine thinking it was a good idea to write this in--gestures wildly--the year of our lord 2026.

frankly I think tourists from the US *should* be asked this question, and maybe those who voted this way this woman clearly did should have to think for a damn minute about how their actions have impacted others. also: you can't just "get away from all that," for heavens sake.

Republicans have caused total chaos in Dallas County. It's instructive.

Whether or not Trump attempts some sort of executive order to nationalize election administration, Republicans have an endless number of paths to create absolute mayhem in November.

Trump’s Reckless Decision to Pursue Regime Change in Iran And the risks Democrats face if they fail to strongly oppose his war.

"There are multiple arguments that Democrats need to be making, including the fact that he’s acting illegally, and the fact that he’s acting strategically stupidly. So make all of those arguments. Don’t just ask for a briefing," says @mattduss.bsky.social. www.newyorker.com/news/q-and-a...

I love that we all know 90 percent of them will flip on a dime now, from β€œtrump won’t send your sons to war” (like it’s only sons) to β€œtrump is sending your sons to war and that’s good.”

Just want to note that 3am in Washington is like 11:30am in Tehran. The American people are the ones he snuck up on in the dead of night to conduct this illegal attack, not the purported enemy.

Donald Trump's Violent Mentality is Quite Literally Biblical One could be forgiven for coming away from Leighton Woodhouse’s β€œDonald Trump, Pagan King” op-ed in the New York Times with the nagging suspicion that he hasn’t actually read the biblical or β€˜Pagan’ w...

A recent NYT op-ed blamed the Trump's regime's lawless violence on 'paganism' while conjuring Christianity as the source of good values. I think this is a terrible way to think about history and gets in the way of cleaning up the messes Christians have made. My latest from @religiondispatches.org

this is total nonsense? presidents quite famously struggled to maintain control over the federal bureaucracy going back to before the civil war and congress has always interfered a great deal into the executive branch. congressional deference is the abnormality!

If you really think college students need to learn to use AI (by which I mean LLMs), I suggest you create and fund a department of expert professionals who can teach them. The humanities professors are busy trying to teach those classic texts you keep whining about disappearing from the curriculum
