Am I just really lucky or is Arch just really that stable? Installed it 6 months ago and it hasn't given me more issues than windows.
I get Arch has a bad wrap since it's a rolling distro, but I've only had one update brake a single application for like 15 minutes before I fixed it.
Am I coping?
Agreed; but I haven't had something brake except a python update breaking tidal-hifi. I also update daily so, it is a distro you have to maintain. (Regular updates)
Longest I went without updating is about 3 weeks so that is something to keep in mind.

I've heard great things about Ubuntu and Mint.
But personally my first and only distro has been Arch (btw).
Very good community support (AUR), regular updates (daily) and an insane manual. Install is easy with archinstall. Been using for a few months with KDE and it hasn't had major problems.
That's also what I've heard, which is so unfortunate. Hopefully the videos aren't pre-recorded too far in advance and he's able to switch.

But I think from a non-tech enthusiast stand point it makes Linux seem pretty daunting (More than it is).
Only Luke didn't really have any problems with the install which (imo) to the viewer means only 33% of people won't struggle (And that's if they have some Linux experience beforehand)
True! Using a forma and still being able to use most of my mods is a major QOL improvement.
A very popular tech YouTuber is trying out Linux, they're being fair and all to Linux, but the coverage seems to be overall negative (3 people, one choosing Pop OS and it barely working since it's in the process of migrating to the cosmic DE)

Before switching I highly recommend just testing the waters. Either duel booting / in a virtual machine / or separate PC. (And preferably back everything up.)

I should really make a video about my experience installing and daily driving Linux.
It's been a blast and there haven't been any major problems. If anything, it's given me more enjoyment since it's led to me running my own server.
Especially with the negativity LTT is giving Linux.

I think I got it working on Arch a while back, but that's also when I started crashing once a week so... take that as you will.

What's the error? If nothing works you can try other software that flashes the bz2 file onto the SD card.
I've been using Linux for a couple of months now if that'll help?
