The 3 comments I received are all from people at least 3 degrees away (i.e. no direct/indirect connection on linkedin). First one says: "it's fascinating how narratives can shift our perspective on contributions. every journey has its unique lessons. hashtag dataintegrity" Second comment: "It's intriguing how a single story can spark both celebration and scrutiny. Transparency in contributions is key." Lastly: "it's crucial to recognize the broader impact of ai in collaboration."
But the more interesting thing is all the AI comments I got π I don't post on #linkedin that much... is that a thing now? π€
My post on linkedin: This piece of news has been making the rounds on chinese social media (although not much I could find in English channels) about how some finance guy who didn't write a single line of code and only figured out what a PR was a few days before contributing to OpenClaw made it into the project's top 30 contributors. Well I looked into it a bit more, and while it's probably true that he managed to AI his way into some OpenClaw contribution, it was only for one release (v2026.2.12) where there were 50 contributors, rather than top 30 amongst the overall 1000+ contributors. Not trying to discount his contributions (by itself impressive without coding experience contributing to a super popular project), but I'm surprised nobody else has spotted the misleading claim, with all the articles I've seen so far heralding him like a hero.
