It tends to be a problem with every fandom where a girl is involved, especially when it's pushed upon the player (IE Kasumi, Aigis and Marie).

I think not liking Makoto is the hotter take because Morgana has his own charm of being a cat and going through a character arc while Makoto has a rather loyal fan base that loves to shout "best/canon girl!" I hated Morgana for a long time but he's warmed up to me over the years.
