What a great honor to have been named Commander in the French National Order of Merit by Minister Monique Barbut at an award ceremony held on 27 Nov in Paris. Sharing this moment with many cherished colleagues, friends and family (including my #IPBES family!) made it perfect!

At the "3rd Forum National des Energies Renouvelables et de la Biodiversité" (Paris), I underlined that the transition to renewable energies should be addressed in the context of its impacts on, and linkages with biodiversity, water, food and health, following the @ipbes.net #Nexus Assessment.
Biodiversity is essential to our very existence, supporting our water and food supplies, our health and the stability of the climate. It was a pleasure to present the outcome of the @ipbes.net #Nexus Assessment to the Veolia Institute this past Saturday. Thank you @Dinah Louda for this invitation.

This week I presented response options for the ocean from the IPBES Nexus Assessment to President Macron's Council for Science in preparation for UNOC 3 and the One Ocean Science Congress.
