No no no, it’s only one of those “evil taxes” if the government does it. When businesses do it it is “smart” and just “maximizing profits” so we should all be cool with a system to take as much of our money as possible while providing us with as little as possible. /s

Indeed. The pilot data is extremely promising. And I think the support would be strong majority if more people understood UBI as a tax cut for the bottom 60% to 90% depending on tax and implementation details.
This is not only the right message, but the right policies that have support—but bc both parties have put their pocketbooks ahead of Americans, we end up where taxpayers are paying $1 billion a day for a war we don't want.
Congress can always choose to pay for programs that help everyone...

Welp, I messed up how many yards of each color fabric strip I needed for the locker hook project so that’s on hold while I track down some more dark blue. Can’t say I’m surprised I was off in my guestimate, but I was really getting into a good rhythm with it when I had to stop. Oh well

I have already changed some of how I’m working with this. It is both incredibly straight forward as a craft and lacking in easily accessible hints and tricks to all the little issues you encounter while working. I’m very much in the “next time I’ll do X instead of Y” phase of learning
In progress locker hooked rug. Fabric strips of various shades of gold blue and white are proceeding from the outer edge inward to make a design of concentric squares. A roll of 3/4 inch fabric lays on top of the in progress rug on partially bare rug canvas. A silver locker hook is positioned at an angle above the fabric spool with a white length of yarn
