This is something I am going to be pointing out a lot in the coming months. One of the most effective ways of reducing violence is increasing the number of people eligible for Medicaid/Apple Health. If we see that number drop profoundly, I would expect to see an accompanying rise in violence.
I have a lot more thoughts on this, but after this much time, it’s clear that the job of the modern media class is stenography and PR. That means that the role of a free press—to inform and protect the public about our shared government—is going unfulfilled except by an individual few.
