There is an article out there that attempts to bring order to the chaos.
Absolutely—essential when you start pulling the strings on the theorem’s assumptions and this thinking about those bargaining processes in the real world.
I’ll give you monop comp within price theory, as there are moments when it actually matters. (May the blessed Milton and George forgive me.) But game theory is irrelevant in a Coase theorem world thanks to the full and complete information that comes with the zero transaction costs assumption.
Geez. Now I can see why I don’t check this site very often!
Um …😉

Thanks. It really is a great read. I still have the audio tapes (a box or cassettes). Need to digitize them one of these days.
I read that story to my students every time I teach my history of economic thought course. The looks on their faces are priceless.
You rang?
At the risk of stating the obvious, I have no doubt that Harro would be happy to engage with you on this if you were to contact him via email. (He is not a social media guy.)
And yes, it is a terrific book.
That’s one of my best things!
Who is Hasan Piker?
No, way better. He just wrote my price controls lecture for Econ 101 next spring. Always nice to get a head start on teaching.
Go easy on yourself. I threw you off your game by posting something that wasn’t about the Coase theorem.
You have a gift for identifying a humorous turn of phrase.
I am sui generic!
Who says history of economics research isn’t relevant? Humbled and honored …
Smoke and the Bandit.

You need to switch to Wegmans and register for their “insider” program. You get free shit. My trade deficit with them is now down to $600 per month.
Priorities FTW.
Shot, chaser.
If I disappear after my Econ 101 lecture on international economics in a couple of weeks, at least y’all will know what happened to me. (Upside: I avoid the three weeks of macro lectures.)
Amen. Though mine is the 16th-century choral music version. Pure.
The Lions sucked until Biden became President.
Casual inference FTW!
Another day, and more winning! Reminds me of the good ol’ days when my Detroit Lions went 0-16. Former glory is being restored!
So much winning.
