I need him to be a low key serial monogamist, never more than three dates, has been tacitly engaged to Wen Qing for years, and everyone knows he disapproves of Wei Ying's everything.

Give this one a go then. It's a great story, modern cultivation. T-rating, so no second-hand embarrassment. Good for a drive. But, for sure, not everyone finds they can process stories in audio format. I grew up on cassette audio books.
