I still remember the first time I went here as a toddler and the impression stuck forever. It’s easy to go fast, let the rooms and all the details speak to you <3
The author sits at her exhibit table next to a Mitski poster she designs. Two teens stand in front of her table. One teen asks, “is that a REAL Mitski poster?” The author answers, “haha yeah … from 2015! Over a decade!”
The author looks wistfully skyward and says “it was a small scene in Brooklyn … we have the same birthday actually!”
While the author stews in nostalgia, blissfully ignorant, the teens give each other a look. One of the teens says “oh my God…”
The teen follows up with “Mitski is OLD!” A spike from the word balloon punctures through the author’s glasses into her eye.
