i lived in the bay area from 14 to 36. leaving was hard, but since moving east, i’ve reconnected with my uncle, who played in late 70s nyc punk bands. we collaborated to release a lost demo from his band w-2 on my label, vacant stare. listen/buy the demo + bonus interview below. #vacantstarerecords

listened to this on my way home from work yesterday—wow, so good! i’d heard of them before but never spent any real time with their music. so good. kind of reminds me of pinkerton-era weezer b-sides and this other great band i’d completely forgotten about called fine china.

i love how quiet it is here. communicating on instagram feels like trying to have a conversation at a demolition derby. i’m also enjoying the absence of videos featuring men yelling into their phones. anyway, what's everyone listening to? i like that new sharp pins record.
