it took just over a year to get from "I'll lower costs on day one" to "I'm raising prices and it's good, actually"

Slotkin: "If Russia is helping to kill US forces, we have crossed a rubicon. We have to take decisive action on that. Instead, we're giving them breaks on oil. They're making a ton of money."
Media & police commonly report that βspeed wasnβt a factor in a crash.β What they mean is the driver wasnβt technically breaking the speed limit, or at least not too much.
But speed is ALWAYS a factor, in how much distance is needed to stop, how well crash victims can be seen, and whether they die.
Gen. Grynkewich: "What I've observed over the course of studying air power in history is that any time you attack a civilian population, you usually end up finding that it just hardens their resolve."
Murphy: I have great sympathy for our soldiers and our military leaders they are being given directions by a senile old man who is losing his mind. And so it's no surprise that this war is going horribly
Still no censure of Tommy Tuberville, Randy Fine, or Andy Ogles, who are openly promoting hate against Muslims while the US is bombing Iran, killing the Ayatollah, and people like Lindsey Graham are calling it a "religious war" DURING RAMADAN.
How do you think this all ends, folks?
What do we even do with this.
The global economy hangs in the balance and these people are criminally inept
i feel like if i was tasked with not starting a war and bringing back US manufacturing jobs, i could have done a better job than this
I lost my job, my kids have measles, and gas is six dollars a gallon. But at least now theyβre not tearing down a statue of a Confederate general that Iβve never heard of in a city that Iβve never been to.
Trump fired the people whose job it would be to warn him of the really obvious stuff.
"Top Trump officials acknowledged to lawmakers during recent classified briefings that they did not plan for the possibility of Iran closing the strait in response to strikes."

Is Trump minimizing the rise in gas prices now the same Trump who minimized the deadly nature of COVID?
I can't even find the words to express how repugnant and despicable this post is.
People who spew such Islamophobic bile don't belong in the United States Congress. The job of elected officials is to combat hate, not fan its flames. (1/2)
Trump Women's Month speech: "I didn't read-- I can't prepa-- if I prepare my speeches I won't time to get things done. You ever hear that? I cannot prepare. So I didn't know who the hell I was speaking to, but I walked in and I saw this beautiful woman with the blonde hair."
A young boy stands next to a wooden chair, dressed in a vintage outfit with button-up boots and a dark sweater. The boy has curly hair and a serious expression. The background features a floral pattern.

The Trump administration could really restore confidence by getting the entire Cabinet to ride a tanker through the Straits of Hormuz to show everyone how safe and easy it is now.
They could bring along a lot of MAGA influencers and Fox News hosts to broadcast it all live!
Q: Is there anything you can share about the Old Dominion shooting and the Michigan synagogue shooting?
TRUMP: Yes. Tragic *walks away*
Not part of this lawsuit, but this little shit was also part of the team that illegally took over the US Institute of Peace, fired its staff, stole its endowment, and gave its building away for free. Eagerly awaiting more lawsuits.
Look at this smug, arrogant little shit. This is like watching a library being burned down by a golem made of mayonnaise. We're letting spoiled toddlers dismantle civilisation.
It is both pathetic & dangerous to see Republicans actively stoking a religious war in a country that was founded on the value of religious freedom.

Fortunately, the good people of NYC did not fall for this grotesque, bigoted fear mongering against @mayor.nyc.gov.

A federal judge ruled that the DOJ lawyers who replaced Alina Habba at the New Jersey US attorneyβs office have been serving unlawfully, writing that the Trump admin has "chafed at the limits of their power set forth by the law and the Constitution," which requires advice and consent of the Senate.
This is horrifying and heartbreaking. Itβs impossible to fathom the evil of attempting to murder innocent people in a house of worship.
This kind of hatred and violence must be categorically condemnedβALWAYS.
My thoughts are with Temple Israel and the entire Jewish community on this tragic day.
tough look for a man with a line of antiperspirant deodorant
A Rochester police officer shot and killed a man who police say was experiencing a mental health crisis Wednesday night. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the use of deadly force.
It turns out "give the enemy even more things to shoot at in the hopes they don't shoot at all of it at once" isn't really a good strategy
Again, Republicans get to talk like this about cities & urban residents all the time, & it would NEVER be tolerated in the other direction, & we don't have to tolerate this anymore, either.

fun fact: the department of homeland security added restrictions last year to its nonprofit security grants program that help synagogues and other jewish institutions hire security that effectively makes it so that liberal jewish organizations can't qualify
Like I said, the big winners of the US-Iran war are likely to be China and Russia. wapo.st/4ui9QzJ
