We do hope all MedRen friends will sign the petition below:

This is awful news to come out of Nottingham. MedRen-ers will be aware that Nottingham has hosted three MedRens in 2012, 1985, and the first ever MedRen in 1972.
Do consider signing the petition in the next post.

Post MedRen mood
Thank you @medren2025.bsky.social ! What a brilliant week of music, scholarship and conviviality. Nowhere else would we have been treated to Lambton Worm puppets and Fretwork viols in one evening.
In my post conference feels on the train home, but had such a fab time at my first MedRen! I met so many amazing people and feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a stimulating community. Def heading home with a huge to-do list!
Huge thanks to this yearβs organisers! @medren2025.bsky.social
Second in-person MedRen smashed πͺ
Phenomenal work by @medren2025.bsky.social continuing an unusually anarchic conference tradition. This conference stands out among other musicology conferences for its unique combo of high levels of calibre, craic, and camp, and it was a delight to be a part of π₯°
And we're done! See you in Warsaw!

If you havenβt stopped by yet, weβre still here β come say hi at the booth! #MedievalMusic #Medievalsky
Well, @medren2025.bsky.social isnβt over yet, but what a stimulating week itβs been β thought-provoking papers, excellent concerts and wonderful reconnections with expert musicologists and practitioners. Plus we came face to face the northeastβs resident dragon: the Lambton Worm π
Book display at MedRen had a couple of familiar titles! @medren2025.bsky.social

The things we do to keep our supervisors happy...
We cater to all preferences...
Every early music conference should come with dragon processions @medren2025.bsky.social
I'm not sure that's in my job description...
@medren2025.bsky.social Another excellent musical evening, including Fretwork and voices performing consort music by Orlando Gibbons, and an unexpected Lampton Worm / dragon warded off with audience performance of chants to St Cuthbert π
A third and final fantastic concert at #medren2025 from Fretwork!
