Yes please, @johnfraseros.bsky.social, can you help us get the Minister of Health’s attention to offer Novavax as an important option in fall 2026? Some folks can’t take mRNA vaccines, and some of us prefer protein-based because the science looks more promising for longer-lasting better protection.

Screenshot from Health Canada indoor air quality guidelines explaining diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi. The highlighted section notes that COVID can remain suspended in air and travel longer distances, hence the importance of masks, ventilation, and HEPA filtration to lower spread

Excerpt from Sept 2025 guidance for indoor air quality professionals PDF by Health Canada. I've highlighted the phrase In addition to (followed by advice to recommend respirator masks)
Ventilation can help reduce viral transmission in indoor spaces by preventing the accumulation of potentially infectious respiratory particles in the air. Good ventilation, combined with other personal protective measures, can further reduce the risk of infection.
In addition to improving indoor ventilation, the following should be considered (PHAC 2021a, 2022,
2023a, 2023b, 2023c):
• Encourage occupants to stay home and away from others if they are not feeling well.
• Limit the amount of people in areas where ventilation is poor.
• Have policies that require or strongly recommend people to wear a well-fitting N-95 or KN-95
respirator mask in indoor public settings.
• Provide supplies for people to clean their hands often (e.g., soap and water, or alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol). Remind occupants to clean their hands after contact with shared surfaces and objects, and after coughing or sneezing.
• Regularly clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and objects.
› Develop and put into effect routine cleaning and disinfecting protocols that focus on shared surfaces, objects, and equipment.
› Use disinfectant products with a valid drug identification number and follow manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and disinfection.
Health Canada has released new guidelines for air quality professionals that clearly state Covid can linger in the air & respirator masks should be considered IN ADDITION to improving ventilation

Poor workplace indoor air quality could push nearly one-third of younger workers to quit
A growing generational divide is reshaping expectations for workplace health and well-being. According to the 2025 International Day of Clean Air Survey from
Look at this! Workers are embracing the importance of clean indoor air for health and productivity.
“Clean air is no longer a perk; it’s a baseline.”

Alt: a cartoon of a school bus with the words " we all deserve clean air " above it
Students & their drivers deserve a safe & healthy ride to school, including clean air to breathe!
School buses have poor air filtration & ventilation systems (air quality = bad) 😔
Wearing a respirator mask (N95, KN95, etc) & opening windows (when the outdoor air is safe!) can make a difference!

Heat Warning
• Now
8:00 PM EDT
Wednesday 25 Jun 2025
Issued at: 5:11 p.m. EDT Sunday 22 June 2025
Dangerous heat and humidity will continue through early to mid week.
The first significant heat event of the season with dangerously hot and humid conditions is expected to continue into the week.
What:
Daytime highs of 33 to 36 degrees Celsius.
Humidex values of 42 to 46.
Overnight lows of 22 to 25 degrees Celsius, providing little relief from the heat.
When:
Now until Tuesday night.
Additional information:
The extreme heat and humidity may continue into Wednesday. A cold front is expected to push through the region late Tuesday, but there is some uncertainty with how far south this front will get. Should it remain farther north, the heat event may continue Wednesday, primarily for southwestern Ontario and the GTA.
Take action to protect yourself and others - extreme heat can affect everyone's health. Determine if you or others around you are at greater risk of heat illness.
Check on older adults, those living alone and other at-risk people in-person or on the phone multiple times a day.
We are experiencing a dangerous heat wave in Ontario.
What is the plan for schools and school buses without A/C? How are students, educators, and bus drivers expected to endure such unsafe learning, transportation, and working conditions?
Let us know what’s happening at your family’s school(s).

Note that the US govt is coercing countries into using Starlink, while also threatening non-compliant users with loss of service.
When will Ford clearly and finally end Ontario’s contract with Starlink? I see no reference to this in reports on the budget.

Ontario measles outbreak: Convincing unvaccinated ‘slow going’, top doc says | Globalnews.ca
Since October, Ontario has recorded more than 1,400 measles cases linked to an outbreak that began at a large gathering with guests from Mennonite communities in New Brunswick.
If convincing people to get the measles vaccine is ‘slow going’ this calls for a vaccine-PLUS approach.
Kids/Educators/Bus drivers have the right to NOT get infected, especially those at high risk.
Vaccine-PLUS means:
+masks
+air filtration
+ventilation
+more!
