Couldn't get into the rental for over 2hrs, late at night, and the owners won't give any compensation. Absolutely clown behavior. Oh, well. Overall a very solid weekend of judging.
Well this is a new one for me. The door lock on our Richmond rental apparently died today and we can't get in. Good. Excellent.

Big fan of uro unban. Games involving uro are in my opinion much better than games involving phlage.

Watched the latest TMNT movie last night to get in the spirit for prerelease today. Debating between watching the original today of trying to find some of the comics online. I barely remember the original film but I've also never read the comics which were supposedly very good and more adult
That sounds like a thing for somebody who knows how to actually use a computer
It's really unfortunate how many of my favorite strategies are miserable to play on mtgo. I doubt they'll ever figure out how to implement a looping feature but wow it would make my life so much better

I agree that you can call it stale it's been kinda the same for a while but that doesn't make it bad. It's a pretty healthy balanced format. Much more variety than standard. I'm not calling standard bad fwiw. But for many (including me) its very difficult to keep up with esp w card availability
I disagree with everything you said. I think modern is good. Its not the best standard and I don't think an rcq is season is going to kill anything. I know so many players who just can't be bothered with standard now because it changes too much and have just been waiting for modern or pioneer

That is not correct. The tic often causes people to say things they wouldn't say normally.
Well in this case its legitimately not the dudes fault. This is a subclass of tourettes called coprolalia. It's pretty rare and even moreso among adults. But basically the tics function as "what's the worst thing I can say right now", let's loudly yell that.

I agree with both you and the Spider-Man critiques. I find I hadn't the same issue with iron Man too (sorry, I know Tony's your dude). But with Spider-Man it's just so pronounced that something will grow his character and then they have some (usually bad) plot point that just undoes it all (1/2)
I've been told this is also a follow up to the immortal hulk, which while good kinda goes with your first post
I think in order to best capture Spider-Man there would have been a lot more sagas and cards like rent is due which people wouldn't enjoy either. It's also unclear how much they could/couldn't touch because of the larger marvel set (which could have some of the same NYC thing)
