We link replication fork plasticity to another important player of nuclear architecture, i.e. Lamin A/C, by showing that its nucleoplasmic fraction modulates heterochromatic marks and ADP ribosylation levels at replication factories, thereby controlling RECQ1-dependent restart of reversed forks!
