Yesterday
My best friend of almost 12 years asked me to marry him.
I still don't have many words for this weekend, yet.
But I do know becoming William McBride's fiancée is a day I'll never forget.
From "prayer partner" to life partners, "yes" a million times over.

We held on to hope, while hope held on to us. And we danced, and still dance, with relentless joy.
Whatever your "it" was, doesn't win. Yes it was gut wrenching. Yes it was a miserable experience. Yes it was enough to make you give up. Yes it changed everything. Yes it has haunted you.
....and otherwise, leave you jaded, closed, bitter, etc., but the lord wouldn't have it so. I wouldn't have it so. We'd work too hard, and came too far, to let external factors destroy internal blessings. We stayed open. We grew. We exercised hope. We flourished.
Past cruelty only blocks future kindness if you don't do present healing.
Last year was a monumental year for me, filled with immense victories. Simultaneously, the cruelty, spanning over a couple of years, of some of those closest to me was the kind that could kill one's spirit, physical body....
