The session will:
•Highlight how stuttering is a neurodivergent condition and why that matters
•Explore the workplace impact of the intersectionality of stuttering with other neurodivergent conditions
•Explore how including stuttering in neurodiversity strategies can benefit employers and employees
🟢 Anita McKiernan, Irish, based in London - Anita is an ally and Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and Coach. Many of her clients also have additional conditions, such as ADD/ADHD and Autism. Anita is a visiting lecturer and clinical tutor at City St George’s, University of London.
🟢 Willemijn Bolks, Netherlands - Willemijn is a PWS and a freelance artist (@juststutter on Instagram). Through her art projects, she aims to support other people who stutter and share her experience in building better mental health.
The session will be chaired by our Founder and Chair, Iain Wilkie, a person who stutters (PWS), who will be joined by a superb panel:
🟢 Alex Harrison, UK - a PWS and IT Major Incident Manager working in the UK Civil Service and former trustee of STAMMA (British Stammering Association) .

Just under 1 week to go until applications close for our 10th Global Practice Interview Event!
Taking place 16-23 March (online), our event brings together people who stutter and interviewers for structured practice interviews, feedback, and learning sessions on stuttering and neurodiversity.
For interviewers, it’s also a chance to reflect on communication norms, challenge assumptions around fluency, and learn how to create fairer interview experiences.

Alongside our core educational session, and 1:1 or panel practice interviews, participants can participate in an optional learning session on stuttering and neurodiversity, all running during Neurodiversity Celebration Week.

Our 10th Global Practice Interview Event isn’t just about interview practice, it’s also about learning about how stuttering aligns with other neurodiverse conditions.
The event is free for people who stutter, with a modest sliding scale for allies.
