I love how 90% of B2B SaaS websites have a link to a page titled "Pricing" that contains literally zero prices on it.

The number of fake applicants we've received for our remote software engineering roles is staggering, but what I find even weirder is the number of resumes that state they worked on *our product*. Chalk it up to fake applicants using AI to construct resumes tailored to our job description + failing?
From what I'm seeing so far, the outputs from ChatGPT still ultimately look about the same. It's not providing me with meaningful insights into my data and the fitness recommendations aren't much different than what I got via prompting ChatGPT manually.
ChatGPT Health is getting a lot of buzz in the health and wellness industry. To me, the biggest change this offers is making it easier for any individual to pull in their wearable and medical records so ChatGPT can leverage them.
That fact that Gemini's Google Drive integration doesn't let it edit files like Google Sheets is maddening.
Wow, I've read a lot of articles about people using AI to apply for roles automatically and fake job applicants posing as real people to get money for the DPRK, but I didn't really understand how rampant these problem were until we just recently posted a remote software eng position.
Asked Gemini the best way to visualize membership growth and losses and the suggestions were bad.
Did a Google search for the same thing and got the answer I was looking for immediately. π€·ββοΈ
Learned this in today's Chinese class when getting an example of when to use θΏζ―.
I absolutely love that @nycvotes.bsky.social leaned into the city's wildlife. These images bring me a lot of joy.
Gemini definitely beats ChatGPT for transcribing audio files. Tried to get ChatGPT to transcribe an MP3 of a Mandarin dialogue into pinyin and it kept failing to do so. Gemini did it pretty flawlessly on the first try.
If I didn't already have a job I love, this would be such a blast. I love the Du Chinese app!

My fatal flaw is that I can't turn down installing a new major software upgrade, even if it just came out and is likely riddled with bugs.
Can someone bring back "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" for my kids? No modern take on it- just literally start making the show the same way it was in the 90s.
Today Google told me that a bunch of Taiwanese businesses in NYC sell radish cakes that 100% don't. Now there's probably not that big of a demand for radish cakes (sadly), but if enough people started showing up because Google AI said they sold radish cakes, I imagine they might consider it.

Very interesting. How often at ChatGPT's scale will it lead people mistakenly to businesses for something they don't offer and more interestingly, how often will those businesses respond to the demand? Weird to think businesses could be reshaped based on AI.
Google Workspace actually does an amazing job with their product release note emails. Possibly the most useful email I get from vendors.
- Obsessing over blood glucose can cause you to lose sight of other important items like cholesterol
- Your body can react differently to the same food due to other factors (ex. lack of sleep)
- Some of the popular sensors give conflicting measurements so the data might be wrong
Main takeaways:
- The type of person who is wearing a CGM is probably more health conscious to begin with and probably knows what they should be eating
Great article on CGMs for non-diabetics/non-prediabetics.

I normally give these "Gen Z" stories no heed, but calling a Diet Coke a "fridge cigarette" feels so spot on. During my 20s, a cold Diet Coke (from a can, not a bottle) was just perfection..I honestly had an easier time quitting smoking than quitting Diet Coke

Oh Gemini.
ChatGPT did *much* better sticking to the prompt. The illustration styles across the animals also look a lot more consistent.
Gemini did not follow the prompt- the pigeon's hat isn't backwards and it apparently doesn't know what a NYC Parks Department logo looks like.
..and a sleeveless New York Knicks jersey. The animals are standing around a table with a pizza on it. The pizza has a message spelled out in pepperoni on it and it says "Happy birthday Mom!" The style of the image should look like a 1990s cartoon." So how did they do?
..The rat is wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap and a gold chain similar to what rappers wear. The squirrel is wearing a New York City Parks Department uniform with the Parks Department's logo visible on its chest. The pigeon is wearing a backwards baseball cap..
Testing AI image generation the best way possible- by quickly creating an image to wish my mom in the Bronx happy birthday. My rushed prompt: "Create an image of a rat, a squirrel, and a pigeon in a New York City park with trees..
