Tornado Outbreak in progress in the Midwest. Right in the same area my family is in, that just avoided getting hit by one back last Friday. I am not gonna be sleeping well tonight.

Shit like this is why defunding essential public services, like the NWS, is always a BAD FUCKING IDEA. "Dept. Of Gov. Efficiency" my ass. That death could have been my cousin, whom had just pulled into his home driveway when it hit. Casualties that could have been avoided. It could have been worse.

After having discovered that there was a tornado that barely missed both my parents (by 1400 feet) and relatives' (by 1000 feet) houses, killed a child, and there was NO Tornado Watch issued for the area by the NWS, resulting in the state governor calling for an official inquiry, I am infuriated.
