This is impressive in so many levels!

Just a scribble I did in 1993.

When I searched for some old documents recently, I found this scribble from 1993. This rekindled the idea to create "Fight!!"

I created a small turn-based combat engine similar to old JRPGs: "Fight!!" - and included it into rpg-o-mania. Had enough of reading articles? Then battle it out with some monsters!

For me, it's the music that always gets me back to it. It has so many great tunes and even one of my favorite all-time gaming music track (The Dark Crystals).

Love Tape, by Tengrilay 11 track album

Das Debut-Album meiner Band Tengrilay ist draußen ✨🎉 Hört gerne rein, wenn ihr verträumten Alternative-Rock mögt ☺️ Ich schreibe die Tage noch ein bisschen was zu den einzelnen Tracks.

Star Ocean 2R find ich auch hübsch. Weil da die Sprites an sich schon "3D" gestaltet wurden. Bei Octopath, und auch Dragon Quest, finde ich dass die immer wie Pappaufsteller aussehen.

Ich weiß, ich bin da recht alleine in meiner Abneigung zu HD2D 😅

Bei dem Look drehts mir immer die Fußnägel auf :D

Wie die Breath of Fire Fans froh wären wenn sie zumindest die Mega Man-Behandlung erfahren würden :D

(Ich bin aber auch Mega Man Fan und gar nicht unglücklich darüber, zumindest ab und zu ein bisschen Rockman zu bekommen)

Aber nur mit Ramenvertrag!

At least the cover got Max' colors and hairstyle right, and the enemies kinda exist in the game (but their heads are longer). Better than the Shining Force II cover which has nothing to do with in-game characters after all. Still love Yoshitaka Tamaki's art so much!

Kann es sein dass es generell um die Leute rund um Chained Echoes extrem ruhig geworden ist? Hätte für ein Special auf meiner Site versucht die Entwickler zu kontaktieren, aber seitdem höre ich nur Grillen zirpen.

I bought "This Way Madness Lies" after a recommendation of @tapirfortuna.bsky.social - I like it!

But to all the game developers - if you release a game that's on a platform with a limited resolution, please make sure that the pixel scaling is correct! The Switch mobile version is so ugly scaled..

Also ich will's nicht schlecht reden- es ist ein wunderbares modernes rundenbasiertes rpg. Auf Deutschland. Hatte ich nicht auf meiner Bingo Karte :D

Grade eben geschaut - es ist in den "Accessibility-Optionen", da hatte ich nie reingeschaut :D

Hmm also da möcht ich ganz sanft widersprechen :D Das "Im Overdrive-Band halten" ist für mich schon irgendwie wie bei den Bravely-Spielen. Man kann ja auch dort den optimalen Zeitpunkt ignorieren, aber wie bei Bravely kriegst auch bei CE dann gern mal eins von Mini-Gegnern auf die Nuss :D

Ich versteh das auch nicht. Chained Echoes geht dann auch noch so weit dass es keine klassischen "Level" mehr gibt. Würd's die tolle Atmosphäre und die herzigen Charaktere nicht geben, wär ich vermutlich schon abgesprungen.

When you copy basically everything from some older RPG, but it still kinda works. Just a pity that they had to include this modernish "balance turns"-thingy where you have to save certain turns or else...! #jrpg

You're a relict from the past. If you want to know something, check your quest log and follow the marker on the map. D'uh.

That really looks interesting! I liked Soleil a lot, but it kinda lost me in the latter half, where you just went back the whole original story. It missed more towns, more NPCs to interact with, more peaceful moments. Is this one better in that regard?

Okay, I just purchased it because of Thomas' suggestion. He's among my top 3 RPG recommendators.

Whats often overlooked in my Opinion: Back then it was one of the few racing games that got the proportions of the car right. The other one being GT.
