Symmetrisch angeordnete, kahlköpfige Bäume säumen einen breiten Weg, der im Zentrum der Komposition in ein undurchdringliches Weiß führt. Die filigranen, dunklen Äste der Bäume ragen wie feine Adern in den hellgrauen Himmel und bilden im oberen Bilddrittel ein dichtes Geflecht. Der Boden im Vordergrund wirkt dunkel und leicht uneben, vermutlich handelt es sich um eine Rasenfläche oder einen unbefestigten Pfad.
