Tbh that flag is so bad. I’d website already has dark theme it breaks it. Unfortunately you can’t configure this flag per domain :(
I was also thinking on building custom npm UI because they have free public api. But for now gave up on that. Browser extensions with configured permissions per website + custom css stylesheet do work for me for now.
If you will find nice npm ui share please.
For Safari I been using free extension for dark mode and on chrome dark reader which is open source. The cool part is that you can configure extension permission per origin glob who I use, just specify to which websites apply the extension.

Created issue on jsr to discover npm packages but I doubt they will add it.
Meanwhile I been using custom user agent browser styles for dark mode, but it isn’t perfect.
