Iβm teaching a little group theory to my number theory class to more deftly explore the units in a mod. I want to design a project about groups in the wild, and thought puzzles/games might be good, I.e. the moves you can make on a Rubikβs cube form a group. That spark any ideas for anyone?

Simple problem we worked on today in Number Theory:
X=3 mod 5
X=5 mod 7
X=7 mod 11
We figured out a solution with some grit but there were some interesting clever ideas that the students had that I enjoyed.
Iβm not sure I would know how to do this TOTALLY by hand but I used the approximate zeros to help me locate the exact zeros, then divided those out to find the non-real ones
