The much anticipated DO-IT trial shows no impact of switch from TAF + INSTI to DOR (with TAF or TDF) on weight in people with obesity. Considering switching ART only to address weight change? DON'T DO-IT.....

Women are too often being left behind in the fight against HIV.

The UK's #HIV response is failing women.
In 2023, new cases increased the most in heterosexual women, but they are less likely to be offered or to take a test. Too many are diagnosed with HIV late, when it is more likely to have affected their health.

We warmly welcomes the Government announcement that emergency contraception (EC) will be made available free of charge from community pharmacies in England from now on. This is a vital step in removing cost and access barriers that have long prevented many women from obtaining the care they need.

Cover of The Lancet's Feb 15, 2025 issue. Quote on cover reads "At the core of patients not being heard is the unequal power dynamic between doctor and patient. Each holds a different form of expertise...It is vital that we combine this expertise and collaborate."
When patients are not heard by their doctors there can be devastating consequences.
So why does this happen & what can be done to address it?
On the cover, Dr Rageshri Dhairyawan explores this question.
