Khao Tao Reservoir was Thailand's first royal-initiated irrigation project, completed during the reign of Rama IX in 1963. It's purpose was to provide fresh drinking water to the local fishing village and prevent seawater from flooding agricultural land.

Biked down to our local beach here in Khao Tao, called Hat Sai Noi, which means "Little Sand Beach" for the sunrise this morning. 🌅
