Alan Xu presenting his work on long term graft function and patient survival in kidney donation after circulatory death compared to neurological determination of death donation.
He found similar long term patient and graft survival between groups. DCD donors had higher rates of rejection.

The Australian NHMRC has just released new ethical guidelines for cell, tissue and organ donation and transplantation. This will be a valuable resource for everyone working in the donation and transplantation sectors.

Australia is planning to introduce a new deceased donor kidney allocation system 🐨
Using novel approaches we expect to improve both immune and prognosis matching while also improving equity 🙌
