I distinctly remember being in school and there being nothing out there on how to evolve certain pooks, I ended up on a Japanese website and saw a picture of Maril (dubbed Pikablu at the time). I subsequently lost my shit thinking I could evolve Pikachu with a Water Stone in my copy of Blue.

A screenshot of the culprit screen in the mysteries menu of the game. On the left there is an area for facts known about the culprit. In the middle all the culprits are shown, some are greyed out and locked if you have not spoken to them. On the right is the highlighted suspect and the facts that you have learned about them. On the bottom right there is a button to use to eliminate culprits from your suspect list.
Everyone at Blake Manor is a suspect. Other guests, staff and even residents of the hotel.
From the culprit area of the menu you can gather notes about these suspects and even eliminate them from your inquiries as you learn more. 🔍
